Atria is investing in convenience food production in Sweden and Finland to strengthen its position in a growing market. In Sweden, Atria is making a growth investment of approximately EUR 7 million in a new microwave meal line at its Järna production plant. In Finland the company is investing around EUR 1 million in a packaging solution for pancake production at its Nurmo plant. The investments will increase capacity, support growth and create opportunities for new products, pack sizes and product types.
The new microwave meal line will give Atria stronger capabilities to respond to growing demand and further develop its offering in Sweden. The investment supports the company’s strategic objective of strengthening its position in the growing convenience food category and adds greater flexibility to production.
Atria Finland is investing approximately EUR 1 million in pancake production. The investment complements the previously announced investment of around EUR 110 million in convenience food production at the Nurmo plant and supports the growth of the category as well as the further development of production. Pancakes are a significant and growing part of Atria’s convenience food business, and pancake sales in 2025 increased by nearly 10 per cent compared with the previous year.
The investment now being implemented focuses on a packaging solution designed to increase capacity, improve production efficiency and enable the commercialisation of new types of packaging and new product formats. The investment strengthens Atria’s ability to respond to growing demand, broaden its product range and react more quickly to consumer trends.
These investments support Atria’s TOGETHER 2030 strategy, under which investments are being directed to growing product categories and the development of new offerings in Finland and Sweden.
